Direct Mail and Fulfillment drive Express Oil Change’s Success
Express Oil Change and Brakes Plus is a growing oil change, tire service and mechanical service franchise based in Birmingham, Alabama, with nearly 400 combined stores nationwide.
Direct mail is a huge driver of business for Express Oil. In 2019, the company did a combined 1.3 million pieces of direct mail to customers. In 2020, that number will increase to nearly 1.8 million pieces. With a 5 percent response rate on direct mail, the company knows it works, but was having a difficult time managing the volume of requests coming in from stores.
“We were inundated with requests for large corporate mailings as well as new store opening mailings from franchisees,” said Veronda Berry, Express Oil Change Marketing Operations Manager.
Express Oil Change needed a partner. They turned to Davis Direct for all their direct mail needs. However, in addition to commercial print production and mailing services, Davis Direct is also implementing a fulfillment program, developing a direct mail store for Express Oil corporate stores and franchises. Within the system, store owners can select and customize a variety of creative direct mail pieces and have them printed and mailed – all without having to lift a finger.
